Reminiscent to some viewers of Henri Rousseau’s works, a compliment indeed, this original acrylic painting is the first of the artist's popular “White Bird of Paradise” series. 
The stars of this painting are the large White Bird of Paradise leaves framed by the majestic coconut palm. The dense deep dark green tropical foliage contrasts the bright intense white light peaking through the background. An umbrella of graceful stylized palm fronds on top becomes abstract cross hatching to the side. Light, always the most important element to the artist, ranges from transparent to opaque depending on the thickness and layering of Acrylic Paint.
