This Original Acrylic painting was commissioned by the Las Olas Art Fair to use for their poster image at the 2007-2008 Art Shows. To create the image that was the basis for this composition, a series of photographs were shot by the artist from Las Olas Boulevard. Usually up to 100 photos are taken by the artist and then cut and pasted to make the desired composition. The photos were taken early on a Sunday morning when the street was still “waking up” setting the stage for a very peaceful street scene. The early morning light in this image shows the sun peaking through the massive tree in the center of the composition. The dramatic one point perspective was achieved by shaping and bending the space until the desired composition was achieved.
